Prevent Revanth From Disturbing KCR Kosgi Meet On Dec 4: TRS Urges EC

Hyderabad, Dec.2 (Maxim News): TRS leadership today complained to Election Commission against Kodangal Congress candidate A Revanth Reddy for violating poll code by giving a bandh call in the segment to disrupt the public meeting to be addressed by party president and Caretaker Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on December 4 at 3 pm.

The TRS team comprising MLC Srinivas Reddy, TRS election coordination committee members M Ramesh Reddy and D Vithal today called on CEO Rajat Kumar at Secretariat and lodged a complaint against Revanth Reddy for his derogatory remarks against KCR.
Talking to mediapersons later, they said Revanth Reddy was trying to disrupt the Kosgi public meeting of the Chief Minister only to misguide and threaten people. The Congress candidate was trying to create panic and confusion among the people of the segment by giving a bandh call in violation of the poll code and to disrupt the meeting of the Chief Minister.

“We have appealed to the EC to take serious action against Revanth Reddy for using filthy language against KCR and ensure that the public meeting will be held in a smooth way”, they said. Rajat Kumar has promised to take necessary action and instruct the Collector and SP and officials concerned to ensure smooth conduct of the meeting. The TRS team said as per EC guidelines for poll code, the police can conduct raids on the houses of any politician. As of now, three Chief Ministers of States and several Union ministers have addressed in Telangana for polls as there was conducive environment. But Revanth Reddy’s attempt to disrupt the KCR meeting was a sheer violation of the poll code and uncalled for, they fumed.

In a related development, Revanth Reddy, who made severe allegations against KCR and his family members, including KTR, Harish Rao and others, has reportedly called off the bandh on December 4. However, he warned that he will disrupt the KCR public meeting by conducting rallies and protests. He also alleged that the KCR government deliberately ignored development of Kodangal segment. He charged that despite his repeated appeals, KCR did not give permission for Degree College in Kosgi, denied permission for lift waters from Koilkonda, did not take steps for a railway line to this segment and denied funds for development and welfare.
