Delhi/Hyderabad, Feb 24 (Maxim News): Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be on a two-day visit to Israel starting tomorrow. Modi, who created history by first visiting Israel in 2017, is visiting the country again after nine years. Political analysts predict that this visit will take the strategic relationship between the two countries to another level.
Prime Minister Modi will receive a grand welcome upon his arrival in Tel Aviv on Wednesday. He will immediately meet Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The highlight of the visit will be Modi’s address to the Israeli parliament. Prime Minister Modi will create a new record by becoming the first Indian leader to receive this honor. Later, he will interact with the Indian diaspora. There are about 18,000 to 20,000 Indians in Tel Aviv.
Meeting with the President of Israel
On the second day, Thursday, Prime Minister Modi will visit the Yad Vashem Holocaust Memorial in Jerusalem. He will pay tribute to the millions of Jews who lost their lives at the hands of the Nazis during World War II. Later, he will meet Israeli President Isaac Herzog. Finally, he will sign several key agreements with Netanyahu in cutting-edge areas such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and quantum technology. Defense deals worth about $8.6 billion are likely to be signed during this visit.
India and Israel are on the same page in the fight against terrorism, said Indian Ambassador to Israel J.P. Singh. He expressed confidence that this visit will bring the two countries closer not only in the field of defense but also in areas such as science and technology and innovation. (Maxim News)
