Provide Help to Rain Hit Areas: KTR

Hyderabad, July 22 (Maxim News): MA & UD and industries Minister KT Rama Rao today instructed that the GHMC and other officials concerned should take up necessary measures to meet the needs of public in the rain hit areas. KT Rama Rao directed that the GHMC area and adjoining districts hit by the heavy rains and its adverse effects be on high alert. The officials should ensure protection of properties and lives who are hit by the rains he said.

He held a high level meeting with municipal secretary Arvind Kumar and other GHMC top brass to monitor and ensure safety and security to people, he said.

As heavy rains resulted in water logging in many locations and districts the state machinery be in the field to provide necessary help. He asked for special teams and press in disaster response teams to provide rehabilitation to the low lying area people. Ensure that the people caught in rain hit areas be provided with essential commodities and medicines if necessary. KT Rama Rao instructed the officials of the GHMC and others not to take leaves and be in the field to help rain victims.

He directed the officials concerned to conduct rescue operations in an urgent mode in the districts affected by heavy rains in the state. KTR asked the officials to use special teams to conduct rescue operations.

KTR sought the actual situation and instructed the officials to provide timely help to the rain victims in the city and adjoining districts of GHMC purview. Keeping heavy rains for some days and forecast ahead for a few more days the districts officials should be on high alert, KTR said.

He instructed the district collectors and administration and police to plunge into immediate action to ensure the safety of people. No loss to the people and properties occurred, the KTR said. (Maxim News)
