Rain Disaster In AP: Car Washed Away In Guntur

Andhra Pradesh, August 31st, 2024: The rain disaster in Andhra Pradesh continues. A car was washed away while crossing a stream in Uppalapadu of Guntur district. Three people who were traveling in the car went missing in this incident.

About the incident

Raghavendra from Uppalapadu is working as a teacher in a school in Namburu. A holiday was declared for schools on Saturday (August 31) due to heavy rains. So they took two students from that school and left for Raghavendra’s house. When the car drove without stopping in the overflowing stream near Uppalapadu…the car was swept away by the rising flood. Raghavendra along with two students in the car died in this incident. Locals pulled the car out of the river and pulled out the dead bodies. The deceased were identified as Raghavendra, Satvik, and Manvik.

Heavy rains are falling in Andhra due to the effect of the cyclone. Rivers and canals are overflowing.
