Rajagopal dubs Revanth as a blackmailer, who made thousands of crores by using Congress

Hyderabad, Aug.3 (Maxim News): Munugodu MLA Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy today slammed TPCC Chief A. Revanth Reddy and alleged that investors from Seemandhra were behind the State Congress party chief. He also alleged that TDP national president Nara Chandrababu Naidu was also behind Revanth Reddy. He said the Congress party had died in the State after entering into an alliance with the TDP.

Targeting TPCC working president Mahesh Kumar Goud for giving a call to burn effigies of Rajagopal Reddy, the MLA asked Goud what was he doing when 12 MLAs of the party abandoned the party to join the ruling TRS party. He also asked Revanth Reddy and CLP leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka what they did when the 12 MLAs left the party.

Rajagopal Reddy alleged that Revanth Reddy was collecting thousands of crores by using the name of the Congress party. He said Revanth Reddy would destroy the Congress party and predicted that only nine MLAs would win in the next Assembly elections under the leadership of Revanth Reddy. He reminded that Congress had won 19 and 21 MLAs under the leadership of former PCC Chiefs Ponnala Laxmaiah and N. Uttam Kumar Reddy respectively. He asked Revanth why he joined the Congress party when his leader Chandrababu Naidu was facing problems. Komatireddy made it clear he would never criticize Congress president Sonia Gandhi and her son Rahul Gandhi.

Speaking to media persons, he said the Congress party would secure the fourth position under the leadership of Revanth in the State in the next Assembly elections. He asked Revanth if it was not him who collected money by using RTI as a weapon and termed the TPCC chief as a blackmailer. Alleging that Revanth Reddy played with his image, he said he would not work in the Congress party by killing his self-respect. He mocked that Revanth Reddy is a leader without any history and dared Revanth to prove his allegations that he had quit the Congress party to protect his company contracts and asked if he would quit from his TPCC Chief’s post in case of his failure to prove his allegations.

Komatireddy alleged that Revanth joined the Congress party with an objective to become the Chief Minister and added that the latter would loot the State if he became CM. The MLA also said he would quit politics if Revanth Reddy succeeded in proving his allegations. Stating that the verdict of the people of Munugodu would usher in a change in the State, Rajagopal Reddy exuded confidence that he would win from the seat once again. (Maxim News)
