- Ration shop inspection reveals wheat supply issue in Begumpet
- Talasani Srinivas Yadav questions manager over irregularities
Former minister and Sanath Nagar MLA Talasani Srinivas Yadav conducted a ration shop inspection in Old Kastham Basti of Begumpet Division on Sunday. The visit was a surprise check aimed at reviewing the distribution of essential commodities to beneficiaries.
During the ration shop inspection, several beneficiaries informed the MLA that they were receiving other goods in full. However, they said wheat was not being supplied. This raised concerns among locals, who highlighted the issue directly to the MLA during his visit.
Meanwhile, Talasani Srinivas Yadav questioned the ration shop manager about the absence of wheat distribution. The manager responded that he would provide the wheat. However, locals expressed anger and said that such assurances had been made earlier but were not fulfilled. The exchange reflected ongoing dissatisfaction among beneficiaries regarding supply gaps.
Later, the MLA assured the residents that he would take up the issue with higher authorities. He said he would bring the irregularities to their notice to ensure appropriate action. This assurance came after repeated complaints from the local community about the lack of wheat supply.
The ration shop inspection has brought attention to the functioning of fair price shops in the area. Residents expect that the issue will be resolved soon and that regular supply of all essential items will be restored. The MLA’s intervention is seen as a step toward addressing these concerns.
After the inspection, Talasani Srinivas Yadav visited the Sri Nalla Pochamma temple on the occasion of its third anniversary. He offered prayers to the goddess and participated in the puja. Later, the temple organizers honoured him during the event.
Several local leaders and committee members attended the programme. Among them were temple committee members Nagesh, Ashok Yadav, and Prashanthi, along with Division BRS President Srinivas Goud. Other leaders including Srihari, Arif, and Naresh were also present.
The visit combined both administrative oversight and participation in local community events, reflecting engagement with residents on civic and cultural matters.
