Hyderabad, Dec 28 (Maxim News): ‘Revanth Reddy, who came to power by giving accreditation cards to all deserving journalists and assuring them of allotment of houses, is now resorting to removal,’ said BRS Working President KTR.
He was furious that the imposition of restrictions on journalists who asked for their rights was a proof of Congress’s tyranny. He condemned the iron fist on journalists, who are the voice of the people, on Saturday. Revanth Reddy, who said that he would restore democracy, is acting in the opposite direction in practice, he said.
Is the seventh guarantee to crack down on journalists who demand their rights? They questioned. They demanded the repeal of GO 252, which was issued against the aspirations of journalists. They accused the government of illegally arresting TUWJ and TJF leaders who went to peacefully submit petitions on their problems, saying that it reflects the government’s fascist policies. They accused the government of not only arresting journalist leaders, but also of a conspiracy to suppress voices of questioning in democracy with police forces.
KTR was furious that the Congress government was trampling on the fundamental rights of journalists by cutting their accreditations under the pretext of the new Jivo. He criticized that the government had made false statements like six guarantees and a seventh guarantee in the name of protecting democracy just to deceive the people before the assembly elections. He was furious that the cuts were damaging the employment opportunities and self-respect of journalists who work tirelessly to solve public problems by not giving them new accreditations.
He called the arrest of journalists Maruthisagar, Ramesh Hazare, Yoganand, Vishnuvardhan Reddy, Ramana Kumar, and Kadakanchi Venkat, who had demanded justice, atrocious. He made it clear that the illegal cases filed against journalist leaders should be withdrawn.
He demanded that GO 252, which was issued against the aspirations of journalists, be revoked. He assured that BRS would support the struggle of journalists for the restoration of accreditations. (Maxim News)
