Respect Unique Indian Culture: Ukraine Apologises For Tweet On The Goddess Kali

Delhi/Hyderabad, May 2 (Maxim News):  Ministry of Defence of Ukraine has recently apologized for posting a picture of Kali Mata on Twitter.  

The official Twitter account shared a picture on April 30 with the caption “Work of Art” reminiscent of  Hollywood actress Marilyn Monroe.  In this photo there is a woman with a skirt rising up.  But all of this dressing is similar to the avatar of Hindu Goddess Mahankali.  Indian netizens were furious on social media.  Indian External Affairs Minister Jaishankar demanded to intervene in this matter.  He demanded an apology from Ukraine.  The Ministry of Defence of Ukraine has deleted the image posted in the background of these criticisms from their Twitter account. 

Recently, Ukraine’s Deputy Foreign Minister Emine Zeper apologized to India on Twitter and felt regret for tweeting to misrepresent Goddess Kali and she also made it clear that Ukraine always respects and supports Indian traditions.  (Maxim News)
