Revanth Ordered a Vigilance Inquiry On Collapse Of Medigadda Barrage

Hyderabad, Jan 9 (Maxim News):  Chief Minister Revanth Reddy issued orders for a “Vigilance Inquiry” into the collapse of Medigadda Barrage. 

It may be recalled that when Revanth Reddy was in opposition, he wrote a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to order a CBI inquiry into the world’s costliest project costing over Rs. 1.25 lakh crores ” Kaleshwaram” The collapsed Medigadda and other projects is part of the Kaleshwaram, and after coming to the power, he has changed saying that they will order “Judicial Inquiry” by the sitting Judge and even went to the collapsed site of Medigadda and even given the “PowerPoint Presentation”, now, today, the Chief Minister has announced “Vigilance Inquiry”  

However, the officials have started to identify the reasons and are responsible for the failure of the Medigadda project.  Today, vigilance and enforcement officers conducted inspections in Kaleswaram project offices.  A team of officials is examining the records and valuable documents at the Mahadevpur Irrigation Division Office.  Teams of officials have carried out inspections in offices related to Medigadda Barrage and Kannepalli pump houses.  Attacks are going on with ten special teams. 

Minister for Irrigation and Civil Supplies, Uttam Kumar Reddy said on the inspections of the vigilance officers, he said that vigilance officials have been ordered to find out the reasons for Medigadda, inspections are being done at 12 places. 

Meanwhile, the news of the collapse of the Medigadda Lakshmi Barrage bridge in the Kaleshwaram project, which was built by the Telangana government, has caused a lot of uproar in the state.  The incident took place at pillars 18, 19, 20, and 21 under the B Block of the barrage.   He alleged that crores were spent on the Kaleshwaram project and it was built without following quality standards.  At that time congress leader Rahul Gandhi along with current Chief Minister Revanth Reddy inspected the collapsed medigadda barrage. He criticized the then-BRS government. 

However, after the Congress government came to power, the officials of the Irrigation Department handed over the complete details regarding medigadda as per the orders of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy.  Recently, the Ministers also visited Medigadda Barrage.  (Maxim News)
