Hyderabad, August 5: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Wednesday directed officials to ensure complete transparency and strict vigilance in the recruitment of 7,437 police personnel across Telangana. He instructed authorities to prevent irregularities and maintain the integrity of the selection process.
The directions were issued during a high level review meeting at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat after intelligence agencies reportedly flagged possible attempts by some individuals to influence the recruitment process and create law and order issues.
Police Recruitment Process Under Strict Vigilance
The Chief Minister asked officials to adopt stringent security measures while preparing, printing and transporting question papers. He also directed that all examination guidelines be implemented strictly and adequate security be deployed at every examination centre.
Revanth Reddy instructed officials to closely monitor coaching centres until the recruitment process is completed. He also ordered strict action against those spreading rumours or misinformation about the recruitment examinations through social media or other platforms.
The Chief Minister directed the Cyber Crime Wing to keep a close watch on touts, fake websites and social media accounts allegedly misleading job aspirants.
The meeting was attended by Chief Secretary V. Seshadri, Director General of Police CV Anand, Principal Secretary Home Shikha Goel, Police Recruitment Board Chairman V. V. Srinivasa Rao and other senior Home Department officials.
The State government recently issued notifications to fill 7,437 police vacancies, and officials have been instructed to conduct the recruitment in a fair, transparent and secure manner.
