Revanth Reddy expresses dissatisfaction over Centre’s ‘discrimination’ against Telangana
Hyderabad, Jan 26 (Maxim News): Chief Minister Revanth Reddy expressed his regret that Telangana was treated unfairly and discriminated against in the Padma Awards and that the Center did not consider the names of Gaddar, Chukka Ramaiah, Andesri, Gorati Venkanna and Jayadheer proposed by the government. He said that this is an insult to the people of Telangana and criticized the Center, which announced Padma Awards to 139 people, for not getting at least 5 awards for Telangana.

The Chief Minister laid the foundation stone of the Skill Development Center and Digital Resource Center at Ambedkar University on Sunday. He later said that it is unfortunate that there is a discussion on the protection of the Constitution, and that this is the day when Ambedkar’s Constitution came into force. The Chief Minister criticized that corporate education is being promoted and public sector education is being weakened. He said that the Center should change the new UGC rules and that it is not good to encroach on the rights of the states. He said that the center has conspired to take VCs under its purview. He said that they are not satisfied with the appointment of VCs and have ordered the filling of VC vacancies in universities. The CM expressed hope that the Telangana society will have another ten years of opportunity for them. He said that they will create more miracles in the next ten years. (Maxim News)
