Revanth Reddy Inaugurated “Indira Saura Giti Jal Vikasam Scheme”
Nagarkurnool/Hyderabad, May 19 (Maxim News): Chief Minister Revanth Reddy inaugurated the “Indira Saura Giri Jal Vikasam Scheme” which provides irrigation through solar power in Macharam village of Amrabad Mandal of Nagarkurnool district.
Along with the Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister mallu Bhatti Vikaramarka, Ministers ponguleti Sriivas Reddy, Damodar Rajanarasimha, Uttam Kumar Reddy, Sridhar babu, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, Ponnam Prabhakar, Tummala Nageswara Rao, Jupally krishna Rao, Seethakka, konda Surekha, MP Mallu Ravi along with MLAs and MLCs of the joint district participated in the program.
The state government will implement this scheme for five years with a budget of Rs. 12,600 crore to provide irrigation facilities to the farmlands of tribals, Chenchus and tribals. In five years, 6 lakh acres will be developed across the state, benefitting 2.10 lakh tribal families. In Macharam village, borewells were dug in the lands of 26 Chenchus selected for irrigation and solar panels, motors and pipelines were installed.
Horticulture department officials planted fruit trees, Pipelines were installed internally between the gardens for the cultivation of wet crops. (Maxim News)
