Revanth Reddy Not Involved In The Amit Shah Fake Video Case, Asks For More Time
Hyderabad / New Delhi, May 1: (Maxim News): Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has clarified that he is not associated with the @INCTelangana handle, and has requested a four-week extension to respond, citing his electoral commitments.

Revanth Reddy’s legal representative, Sowmya Gupta, responded on behalf of him to the Delhi Police, asserting that the @INCTelangana handle is not managed by Revanth Reddy. He only oversees two other handles, namely @revanth_anumula and @TelanganaCMO.
In a separate response submitted by Advocate M. Ramachandra Reddy, Revanth Reddy has asked for a four-week extension to reply, citing his responsibilities related to the ongoing elections.

Earlier, Revanth was summoned for questioning at the Intelligence Fusion and Strategic Operations (IFSO) office in New Delhi on May 1 (today) and was requested to provide devices allegedly used for creating/uploading/tweeting the fake video of Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
Other Congress leaders who received notices (Shiva Kumar Ambala, Asma Tasleem, Satish Manne, and Naveen Pettem) have sought 15 days to respond.

Addressing a public gathering today, Revanth Reddy stated, “I was called to appear at the Delhi Police station for questioning because I raised concerns about constitutional matters.”
The manipulated video, shared on the Telangana Congress’s official handle, purportedly depicts Union Home Minister Amit Shah advocating for the elimination of reservation quotas for Scheduled Castes (SCs), Scheduled Tribes (STs), and Other Backward Classes (OBCs).

In the original video, from his speech on April 23, 2023, in Chevella, Amit Shah was recorded saying, “If the BJP is elected to power, then the unconstitutional Muslim reservation will be abolished in the state. This right belongs to Telangana’s SC, ST, and OBC communities, and they will have this right. We will terminate Muslim reservations. (Maxim News)
