Hyderabad, Sept. 17: Revenue officials are preparing details of land around former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao’s farmhouse at Erravelli in Siddipet district.
The officials are examining land records in Markook mandal as part of an inquiry ordered by Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy.
The exercise includes identifying survey numbers, government land and details of previous and current landholders.
Revenue Officials Examine KCR Erravelli Land Records
The officials are preparing a report on the land surrounding KCR’s agricultural property at Erravelli.
The inquiry follows Revanth Reddy’s directions in the Telangana Legislative Assembly on Wednesday.
The Chief Minister directed Revenue officials to issue notices to KCR and ascertain how much land he purchased and how much government land exists around the farmhouse.
According to Revanth, Survey No. 1944 in Erravelli has 2,447 acres adjoining the village.
He said around 295 acres overlap between Erravelli and neighbouring Shivar Venkatapuram villages.
Revanth also alleged that around 388 acres of government land under Survey No. 325 was included along with the disputed land while the farmhouse was developed.
These claims are part of the government’s inquiry and have not been established by a court. BRS leaders have disputed the allegations and demanded an independent judicial probe into the properties of both political families.
The Revenue Department has been asked to determine the extent and status of the land and submit its findings.
The development comes amid a wider political dispute over Section 22 A land records and alleged irregularities during the previous BRS government.
