Hyderabad, Aug.22 (Maxim News): CPI State secretary Chada Venkat Reddy has called upon the students and people to get ready to wage fight against the “anti-people” educational policies of the State and Central governments.
After releasing pamphlets on AISF Telangana State Second Maha Sabha at CPI office in Rajendra Nagar here on Wednesday, Chada Venkat Reddy alleged that the Central government was trying to hand over the education sector to the corporate companies like Reliance Company. The Telangana State government opened gates to the private universities by bringing Private Universities Bill. He also alleged that the corporate educational institutions were behaving as they wished with the support of the State government.
The governments were trying to distance the education to the rural and poor, middle and weaker sections of the urban areas, he pointed out. Questioning the Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao to tell as to where gone KG to PG free education and asked KCR to tell as to why his government was adopting negligent attitude in implementing the Right To Education (RTE) Acts. Finding fault with the closure of the schools in the name of rationalization, he asked the state government to tell as to when it will fill 13000 vacant teacher posts in the state and said that the students have to teach a fitting lesson to KCR government.
AISF former general secretary N Bala Mallesh alleged that privatization, corporatization and saffronisation have increased in the education sector. The state and central governments were water downing the education sector as per plan, he lamented and said that the AISF Telangana State IInd Maha Sabha will be held in this context from September 19 to 21 at Saroor Nagar. He wished that the Maha Sabha would chalk out an action plan to wage movement against anti-educational policies of the state and central governments.
