Robbery In Nizamabad: Approximately 35 Lakhs Looted From Two ATMs

Nizamabad/Hyderabad, Dec 27 (Maxim News): Robbers have gone on a rampage in the Nizamabad district headquarters. Wearing masks on their faces and gloves on their hands, they looted ATMs. The assailants, who came in a car in the early hours of Saturday morning , cut open the ATMs with the help of gas cutters and looted the cash inside.

The miscreants who entered the Development Credit Bank ATM of Pangra branch under Nizamabad Town 4 police station limits cut the machine with the help of a gas cutter and looted about Rs. 25 lakhs. They also looted the SBI ATM at Varni Chaurasta under the city’s Town 5 police station limits. It is learnt that the miscreants had sprayed the CCTV cameras in the ATM center to avoid recording.

It is learnt that they looted about Rs. 10 lakhs. Kamareddy SP and in-charge CP M. Rajesh Chandra inspected the two incident sites. After examining the manner in which the theft took place, they spoke to the managers of the two banks and got to know the details.

The in-charge CP has ordered that the CCTV footage inside and around the ATM where the robbery took place be collected and analyzed. The investigation is also being carried out with the clues team, technical experts and local police teams. The police machinery, alerted by the ATM robbery, has tightened surveillance. Special check posts have been set up at the entry and exit points of the district and vehicle checks have been intensified.(Maxim News)
