Rs 500 Fine For Not Wearing Masks in Railway Stations, Trains

The order read as to prevent spitting and act of similar nature and to ensure wearing face masks by all the people entering into railway station premises, fines (up to 500) under Indian Railways Rules, 2021.

April 18: Amid increasing Coronavirus positive cases in the nation, Indian Railways on Saturday announced that Rs 500 will be imposed on the persons who are not wearing the face masks at railway station premises including trains. The orders will be implemented for the next six months till further notice. The Indian Railways issued orders amid a rise in Corona positive cases.

The order read as to prevent spitting and act of similar nature and to ensure wearing face masks by all the people entering into railway station premises, fines (up to 500) under Indian Railways Rules, 2021.
