Karimnagar, Sept. 21: Congress has appointed Rudra Santosh Kumar as War Room Coordinator for its proposed 100 day nationwide campaign on caste census, party sources said.
The All India Congress Committee issued the appointment order, according to the sources.
The proposed campaign will run for 15 weeks and include public awareness programmes, state wise action plans and training.
It will also involve organisational coordination, digital monitoring and weekly progress reports.
Congress Plans 100 Day Caste Census Campaign
Santosh Kumar previously coordinated the Congress caste census programme in Telangana through a war room and call centre.
The operation functioned from Indira Bhavan under the leadership of TPCC president Mahesh Kumar Goud.
According to party sources, the system coordinated with more than 2,000 workers and representatives each day.
It also worked with more than 100 caste associations and nearly 35,000 booth level workers.
At an AICC OBC workshop in Delhi on September 8, Santosh Kumar presented the proposed 15 week action plan.
The plan included state level war rooms, training, grassroots mobilisation and digital monitoring.
Santosh Kumar is a native of Achampalli village in Karimnagar district.
He entered public life in 2016 and later joined the Congress.
He has also worked with the Leadership Development Mission and participated in the Bharat Jodo Yatra.
The proposed national campaign will focus on coordinating Congress activities related to caste census across states.
