Rythu Bharosa Funds To Be Released on March 22

Rythu Bharosa | Hyderabad, March 16: The Telangana government will release Rs 9000 crore under the Rythu Bharosa scheme for farmers. The government will provide Rs 6000 per acre covering about 1.50 crore acres.

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy took the decision during a review meeting on Sunday. Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka and Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao attended the meeting. Senior finance department officials also took part.

The Chief Minister will release the first instalment on March 22. The release will take place during a public meeting at Narmetta in Siddipet district. The event will coincide with the inauguration of an oil palm factory.

Under the first phase, the government will credit Rs 3590 crore. About 73 lakh farmers with up to one acre of land will benefit. Officials said the amount will go directly into farmers bank accounts.

Rythu Bharosa Funds Release Schedule

The government will release the second instalment after about 20 days. This phase will include Rs 2650 crore. The government plans to release the third instalment by the end of April. This phase will involve Rs 2760 crore.

Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao thanked the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister. He said the government kept its promise despite financial challenges. He added that the decision shows commitment towards farmers.

Officials said the Congress government already released investment support in three earlier phases. In 2023 to 24 Yasangi season, the government released Rs 7625 crore. It provided Rs 5000 per acre during that period.

In the 2024 to 25 Yasangi season, the government released Rs 5057 crore. Later, in the 2025 to 26 Kharif season, the government increased support to Rs 6000 per acre. It then released Rs 8800 crore.

The agriculture department estimated a requirement of Rs 8881 crore this year. However, the government approved Rs 9000 crore considering possible increase in beneficiaries.

The government expects farmers to use this support during the ongoing Yasangi season. The Kharif season will begin in about two months. Officials said the timing will help farmers meet investment needs.

The Chief Minister will also lay the foundation stone for a Rs 40 crore edible oil refinery at Narmetta. Officials will also organise an agriculture exhibition at the venue. The government plans a large farmers meeting on the same day.
