Hyderabad, July 19: Former Minister and Maheshwaram MLA Sabitha Indra Reddy on Sunday visited farmers protesting against the government’s land acquisition drive at Bahadurguda in Shamshabad mandal and assured them of the BRS party’s support.
The visit comes amid continuing protests by farmers opposing the government’s move to take over land in Bahadurguda.
Sabitha Backs Bahadurguda Farmers
During the visit, women farmers appealed to Sabitha Indra Reddy to protect their lands, alleging that the government was taking them away unfairly.
Responding to their concerns, the former minister assured the affected families that the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) would stand by them and support their fight.
She criticised the Congress government, alleging that it had come to power promising “people’s governance” but was now creating hardships for people from different sections of society.
