Sabitha Worships Lord Balaji At Chilkur

Hyderabad, Sept.13 (Maxim News): Education Minister Sabitha Indira Reddy today assured Chilkur Balaji temple chief priest Dr MV Soundararajan that she would take steps to see that the land allotted for TTD Veda Patashala was transferred to the TTD for construction of long pending Veda Patashala.

The minister met the 84-year-old Soundararajan after she worshipped Chilkur Balaji along with her family members at the Temple. Soundararajan congratulated her on assuming charge as Education Minister. She assured the chief priest that she would take up the matter after completion of the ongoing budget session. The Veda Patashala has been incepted in 2011 near the Chilkur Balaji Temple of Lord Venkateswara.

Dr Soundararajan said it was necessary to introduce popular courses like Sri Pancharatra Agama and Apastambeeya Smartam besides Krishna Yajurveda in the S.V. Veda Patasala of T.T.D. to preserve Vedas and Sastras. There was a need for Sri Pancharatra Agamam and Apastambeeya Smartam besides Krishna Yajurveda in the two Telugu States. At present the S.V. Veda Patasala, Chilukuru, has been running in the accommodation provided by Rotary building in Chilkur. “We have been trying to request the government to hand over the requisite site of eight acres earmarked for immediate construction of TTD own building.
