Hyderabad, Feb. 9 (Maxim News) : The war of words between the ruling party and the main opposition BRS intensified in the state on Monday, with TPCC Media Committee chairman Sama Rammohan Reddy launching a sharp attack on BRS working president KTR.
Addressing a media conference at Gandhi Bhavan, Sama Rammohan Reddy made strong remarks on KTR’s conduct and statements. Reddy said KTR’s mental condition appeared unstable and claimed he needed immediate treatment. He also alleged that KTR was facing serious psychological issues and made sarcastic comments during the briefing.
Sama Rammohan Reddy alleged that KTR was speaking irresponsibly. He claimed that doctors had also indicated such behaviour could result from taking wrong medication. Reddy further stated that he had even sent medicines to KTR, mocking his statements and public conduct.
Continuing his attack, Sama Rammohan Reddy criticised the BRS party itself. He alleged that BRS now stood for “Black Mail Rajakeeya Samithi.”
Rammohan Reddy claimed that arrogance had led to the party’s decline. He further said KTR would not rest until the BRS was completely destroyed.
Sama Rammohan Reddy also responded strongly to KTR’s comments on the physical stature of leaders. He said great personalities like Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Pranab Mukherjee, and PV Narasimha Rao were also short in height. He advised KTR not to forget that even his mother Shobhamma and party leader Jagadish Reddy were of similar stature.
Meanwhile, Sama Rammohan Reddy claimed that BRS leaders were facing public anger at the ground level. He said party leaders were being confronted by people in Gajwel and Sircilla constituencies.
Sama alleged that Harish Rao could not face public pressure and made sarcastic remarks in that context.
He further predicted that KTR would lose from Sircilla in the next elections. Sama Rammohan Reddy rejected KTR’s allegations regarding forensic lab evidence. He said the claims were false and aimed at misleading people.
He accused KTR of spreading lies and trying to intimidate voters. He said warning people that they would lose their eyesight if they did not vote for the car symbol reflected KTR’s lack of judgment.
The remarks further escalated the political confrontation between Congress and BRS leaders. (Maxim News)
