Sankranti: RTA Raids on Private Buses

Sankranti | Hyderabad, January 11: RTA officials cracked down on private buses plying against the rules.

In the wake of Sankranti, officials conducted inspections at Bhagyalatha in Hayatnagar, Hyderabad, for the safety of passengers.

Buses going towards Vijayawada were inspected. On this occasion, cases were registered against ten private buses that did not follow the correct standards.

Officials have made it clear that private buses must follow the standards, otherwise, cases will be registered.

It is to mention here that the Telangana State Transport Department has initiated measures to curb the high fares charged by private travel buses and other vehicles on the occasion of the Sankranti festival.

State Transport Minister Puvwada Ajay Kumar has issued key instructions to the officials to check private travel buses during the festival rush. Strict action should be taken if high charges are charged.

On the occasion of the Sankranthi festival, the officials of the Telangana Transport Department and TSRTC are jointly conducting a special drive as per the directions of Transport Minister Puvwada Ajay. These checks are carried out to ensure that passengers reach their destinations safely.

They are prepared to take strict action if high charges are collected during Sankranti.

Telangana State Transport Department takes measures to control accidents during the festival. While the Transport Department and TSRTC are conducting inspections on private travel, private vehicles violating the rules will be seized.

In this background, RTA inspections are going on near JBS, LB Nagar, Uppal, and Arangar in Hyderabad. However, RTA revealed that a total of 28 vehicles have been seized so far. Officials who have undertaken these raids have revealed that passengers can reach their destinations safely.
