‘Sarileru Is The Best Decision Of My Career’

Actor Mahesh Babu seemed to be in a jovial mood ahead of release of his movie Sarileru Neekevvaru on January 11. Speaking in colloquial Telugu, he said, “Bomma Adiripothundi (film will be excellent)” much to the amusement of everyone present.

Mahesh Babu calls doing the film the best decision he made in his career. He was full of praise for his director after seeing the final output on-screen and attributed every merit of the film to Anil Ravipudi.

“But for him, the film would have not turned out to be like this. He worked hard physically and mentally. He narrated the content to me during F2 itself. After its release, he went on to work on the treatment. After Dookudu, Maharshi and Bharath Ane Nenu, when I was looking to do a film in another genre, Anil came to my mind. I called him about my plans and he was ready to get started,” added Mahesh Babu.

The actor went on to share that after studying the timing and body language of his characters in his previous films, Anil crafted a new stylisation to the character. “The treatment of role was done keeping my fans interest in mind. That way, Anil Ravipudi is ultimate,” revealed Mahesh Babu.

Mahesh Babu shared that previously he surrendered to his roles, according to the scripts of Bharath Ane Nenu and Srimanthudu because of the predominance of the scripts. He added that getting this kind of story at this stage was sheer luck and the luck came in the form of Anil Ravipudi. “Not only my fans, even I too sought some liberty like I got in Dookudu. Hence, I found all that in this script. I’m sure, people will enjoy the patriotism and entertainment in it. Sarileru Neekevvaru will be a memory worth remembering,” said the actor. The movie will also see the actor come together on-screen alongside Vijayashanthi and expressed his happiness at her coming aboard the movie.

“When I joined her on the sets for the first time after Koduku Diddina Kapuram, I had a feeling that the movie happened just yesterday. I could never meet her, except few times during air travel. We are fortunate that she accepted to do our film. I am thankful to her,” said Mahesh Babu.
