Satellite Townships Surrounding ORR For Low Income And Middle Class Families
Hyderabad, Mar 19 (Maxim News): Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Bhatti Vikramarka announced that satellite townships will be set up on all sides of Hyderabad city along the Outer Ring Road (ORR). Bhatti, who presented the budget for the financial year 2025-26 with Rs. 3.04 lakh crore in the Assembly, said that a plan is being prepared to build housing complexes that are accessible to the low-income and middle-class.
Hyderabad, Mar 19 (Maxim News): The Congress government gave a sweet message to the low-income and middle-class families in the budget presented in the Telangana Assembly today. A key decision has been taken to make the dream of owning a house for the middle class in Hyderabad come true.
He said that Rs. 305.03 crores of funds have been allocated for the construction of 34,545 houses that were left incomplete during the previous government’s tenure and are being made available. He also revealed that the Indiramma House Scheme was launched in March 2024 and that it has been decided to give house titles only in the name of girls. Bhatti said that a total of 4.5 lakh houses will be sanctioned, at least 3,500 per constituency, with an estimated cost of Rs. 22,500 crore. He revealed in his budget speech that Indiramma Houses will be sanctioned to everyone eligible in the state. He said that applications have already been received from the eligible ones. He said that the selection of beneficiaries will be transparent without any politics.
The Finance Minister said that the Telangana government is implementing public welfare schemes. Under the Gruha Jyoti scheme, free electricity is being provided to those who consume up to 200 units. He said that 50 lakh families are benefiting from this scheme. He said that Rs. 1,775.15 crore has already been paid as a subsidy to power companies for the Gruha Jyoti scheme. Finance Minister Bhatti revealed in his budget speech that his government will work for the upliftment of all sections of the society. (Maxim News)
