Satyavathi Rathod Directs Officials To Shift Rain Hit People To Ashram Schools

Hyderabad, Aug.17 (Maxim News): Tribal Welfare Minister Sathyavathi Rathod today directed that officials shift people caught up in floods, and heavy rains to safer places.

Sathyavathi Rathod said that the officials take all steps and shift flood victims to schools and ashram schools. The minister took stock of the heavy rains and floods lashing out the districts of Warangal, Karim nagar, Adilabad and others.

She spoke on phone to collector of Mulugu district and instructed to evacuate tribals, Aadivasis and people from low lying and submerged areas. She instructed the officials to ensure measures to protect the people and farmers on danger due to heavy rains and floods.

Provide them complete rehabilitation and facilities without any inconvenience to flood victims to avoid any untoward incident, the minister said. As the state is to get rains for two days more the officials have to remain extra alert the minister said.

She said that districts are witnessing heavy rains for a few days and causing floods. Godavari river is at its peak at 53 ft in Bhadrachalam and high alert was sounded by the officials. The minister said that tribals and Aadivasis in low lying areas be shifted to safer places.

Sathyavathi said that the officials take all steps and shift flood victims to schools and ashram schools. No inconvenience be caused to people due to rains and floods, Rathod added. (Maxim News)
