Satyavathi Rathod Hit Out at BJP Govt

Hyderabad, Jan.20 (Maxim News): Tribal Welfare Minister Satyavathi Rathod today hit out at the BJP leadership and the Centre for lopsided policies.

Talking to press persons at TRS LP office here with Rythu Bandhu Samithi Chairman Palla Rajeswhar Reddy, MP Kavitha and others, the minister accused the BJP Government at the Centre of suppressing the farmers and people.

The Centre did not protect the interests of the farmers by suppressing the farming community for more than a year at national borders.

After repealing the farm laws for the polls in five states, the Narendra Modi Government in the Centre now came up with another bomb of fertilizer prices hike, she charged.

The minister expressed serious displeasure at the burden by the BJP government in the name of fertilizers prices. The price hike in fertilizers will burden about Rs 20000 cr on the farmers who are seeking some relief, according to information.

The minister alleged that the Modi Government failed to fix an MSP to farm produce, provide more godown facilities across the country to stock the grains and failed to procure paddy from our state.

The BJP state chief and MP Sanjay and other leaders are accusing the state government of failing to procure paddy from the farmers. It is not true that the paddy was not being procured as the purchase centers procuring them she said. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has asked the officials to continue to procure all paddy grains from the farmers she said.

The BJP is spreading lies and stop such activities she said. The misinformation campaign by the BJP and the congress will be of no use as they cannot confuse the farmers, the minister felt.

The BJP regime of Modi should refrain from anti farmer and anti people policies, she demanded. The state government demanded the Modi regime to withdraw fertilizer price hike to protect farmers’ interests, she said. (Maxim News)
