Hyderabad, Sept. 22: South Central Railway (SCR) will operate special MMTS trains to manage the passenger rush during Ganesh idol immersion in Hyderabad.
The special services will run on September 25 and 26 nights and September 26 and 27 nights.
The trains will operate between 11 pm and 5 am on key routes connecting Secunderabad, Hyderabad, Lingampalli and Falaknuma.
On one route, a Secunderabad to Hyderabad special train will depart at 11.50 pm.
A Hyderabad to Lingampalli train will leave at 12.30 am, followed by a Lingampalli to Hyderabad service at 1.50 am.
A Hyderabad to Secunderabad special train will depart at 3.30 am.
On another route, a Hyderabad to Lingampalli train will leave at 11.10 pm.
A Lingampalli to Falaknuma service will depart at 12.10 am. A Falaknuma to Secunderabad train will leave at 2.20 am.
Another Secunderabad to Hyderabad special train will depart at 4 am.
SCR said the special MMTS trains will halt at all stations on their respective routes.
Passengers will therefore be able to board and alight at the regular MMTS stops.
The additional services are aimed at facilitating late-night travel during the Ganesh immersion festivities.
