Senior IPS officer and Deputy Director of Sardar Vallabhai Patel National Police Academy Madhukar Shetty passed away on Friday. He was 47.
An IPS officer of 1999 batch from Karnataka cadre, Shetty was admitted to Continental Hospitals in Madhapur on December 24 with breathing problem and was critical. According to hospital sources, he was struggling with multiple complications related to hypertension, hyperthyroidism and suspected infection from swine flu.
