Shabbir Ali Condemns UP Police For Upholding Rahul Gandhi

Shabbir Ali also led a protest at Biknoor to condemn the manhandling and arrest of former Congress president Rahul Gandhi by the Uttar Pradesh police. The Congress leaders also burned the effigy of UP CM Yogi Adityanath and staged Rasta Roko agitation.

Speaking to media persons, Shabbir Ali said that Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi wanted to meet the family of Hathras gangrape victim. However, he said that the Yogi Govt not only prevented Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi from meeting the Dalit family, but also used police to manhandle Rahul Gandhi.

Shabbir Ali said that the UP Police was trying to hush up the case of gang rape of Dalit girl by tampering with the evidence and influencing the witnesses. He said that the Dying Declaration of the victim that she was gang raped by four men was not taken into consideration and even her body was cremated at 2.30 am past midnight without the consent of her family members.

The Congress leader demanded that the Yogi Government be dismissed immediately as poor girls were not safe under that regime. He also warned the BJP Government of dire consequences if they try to target Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi and other senior leaders. (Maxim News)
