COVID-19 Telangana: 1718 new cases, eight deaths

A total of 2,002 persons recovered by Friday, So far, a total of 31,53,626 Covid-19 tests have been conducted in the State.

Hyderabad: Telangana reports 1,718 new Covid-19 infections and eight fatalities on Friday, taking the overall toll to 1153 and the cumulative number of positive cases to 1,97,327. As on Friday, there were 28,328 active Covid-19 cases in the State.

A total of 2,002 persons recovered by Friday, taking the cumulative Covid-19 recoveries in the State to 1,67,846 with a recovery rate of 85.05 percent, while the countrywide recovery rate is 83.80 percent.

Between Thursday and Friday, 49,084 Covid tests were conducted in the State while reports of another 994 samples are awaited. So far, a total of 31,53,626 Covid-19 tests have been conducted in the State.

The Covid-19 positive cases reported from the districts include 15 from Adilabad, 55 from Bhadradri Kothagudem, 285 from areas under the GHMC, 33 from Jagtiyal, 24 from Jangaon, 19 from Jayashankar Bhupalpally, 20 from Jogulamba Gadwal, 39 from Kamareddy, 105 from Karimnagar, 79 from Khammam, 25 from Kumaram Bheem Asifabad, 32 from Mahabubnagar, 52 from Mahabubabad, 20 each from Mancherial, 19 from Medak, 115 from Medchal Malkajgiri, 20 from Mulugu, 23 from Nagarkurnool, 103 from Nalgonda, 12 from Narayanpet, 18 from Nirmal, 58 from Nizamabad, 22 from Peddapally, 52 from Rajanna Siricilla, 129 from Rangareddy, 42 from Sangareddy, 76 from Siddipet, 60 from Suryapet, 24 from Vikarabad, 28 from Wanaparthy, 21 from Warangal Rural, 56 from Warangal Urban and 37 positive cases from Yadadri Bhongir.
