Shabbir dares KCR to contest from Khammam
Hyderabad, March 18 (Maxim News): Senior Telangana Congress leader Mohammed Ali Shabbir today dared TRS supremo K Chandrashekhar Rao to contest from Khammam Lok Sabha constituency where from he had lured all TDP and Congress MLAs to join his party in the last few days.
Addressing the media at Gandhi Bhavan here this afternoon in the wake of defection of senior Congress MLA Vanama Venkateswara Rao, the former leader of opposition in Telangana council said KCR lured Congress MLAs by giving Rs 25 crore each. But the Congress votes in Khammam are secure and even if KCR succeeds in luring MLAs to defect, KCR or TRS will be routed in Lok Sabha polls, he said. He also said KCR buying Congress MLAs on the eve of the recent MLC elections in Telangana had shocked the nation.
Even with 15 MPs in 2014, TRS had utterly failed to procure benefits to people of Telangana State from the Narendra Modi government despite being overtly friendly with the BJP at the Centre. Besides, KCR could not achieve national status for Kaleshwaram project, 12% quota for Muslims and 10% to STs, Turmeric board, Bayyaram steel plant, revival of Nizam Sugar Factory or NTPC power project.
Shabbir Ali said KCR’s dream of becoming Prime Minister will be a mirage as with 17 MPs he cannot achieve anything. He also said the TRS had failed implementing even a single poll promise. He also pointed out that in Andhra Pradesh, during the last five years they had built six lakh houses whereas Telangana could only complete 19,000 houses. Andhra Pradesh State conducted three DSCs for Teacher’s Recruitment whereas Telangana government did not even conduct even one DSC. (Maxim News)
