According to the input, a 27-year-old Hindu man, Deepu Chandra Das, was beaten to death by a Muslim mob in the city of Mymensingh on charges of blasphemy. He worked in a factory. The mob later hanged him in public and set his body on fire. This incident has intensified anger and concern. Meanwhile, reports also speak of houses of Hindus being burned, repeated attacks, and the rape of women. As a result, fear among Hindus in Bangladesh has grown.

Sheikh Hasina responded sharply to this series of attacks. She said, “There is no place for religious violence in Bangladesh. Therefore, she warned that the situation threatens not only minorities but also the country’s core values.

She also linked the violence to broader concerns. “This is becoming a threat not only to the minorities in Bangladesh but also to the secular and democratic policies of the country,” Hasina said.
