Shiromani Akali Dal Decides To Support Women Reservation And Delimitation Bill

Delhi/Hyderabad, Aug 8 (Maxim News): Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) President Sukhbir Singh Badal, who recently met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Parliament, made a key announcement. He said that his party supports the Delimitation and Women’s Reservation Bill. On this occasion, he demanded a fair and impartial delimitation of constituencies that would provide equal representation to all states. Sukhbir Singh Badal also supported the central government’s proposal to increase the seats by 50 percent in all states.

The Shiromani Akali Dal president said that women’s reservation and delimitation of constituencies should be taken up immediately. He said that his party is inspired by the teachings of the Sikhs. He said that the Sikh gurus fought for the dignity, equality and equal rights of women. He said that his party has already set an example for everyone by providing reservation for women in the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee meeting. The campaign is going on in full swing that the Delimitation Bill will be introduced in the ongoing monsoon session of Parliament. In this context, an interesting discussion started in political circles after Sukhbir Singh Badal announced his support for delimitation after meeting Prime Minister Modi.
