Skill University Should Be Named After Manmohan Singh: Harish Rao

Hyderabad, Dec 30 (Maxim News): Former Minister and BRS MLA Harish Rao said that Manmohan Singh was the person who showed the direction of the country. He said that he was born into a poor family and grew up exceptionally.

Speaking on the occasion of the Manmohan Singh condolence resolution in the Assembly, Harish Rao said that it would have been good if Manmohan Singh had been paid tribute to in the Legislative Council as well. He said that he had given up many opportunities for the motherland. He said that PV Narasimha Rao brought Manmohan into the country’s politics. He said that Manmohan did not betray PV’s trust. He praised Manmohan’s speech as the Finance Minister as the best. He reminded that Manmohan Singh put an end to license raj and permit raj. Harish Rao wants the Skill University in Hyderabad to be named after Manmohan Singh.

Harish Rao said that Manmohan Singh left an indelible mark on the history of the country. KCR installed a statue of PV in Hyderabad. We respected him as our PV and our Manmohan Singh did not look for positions. Positions came looking for Manmohan, PV, and Manmohan both put the economy in a rut. Antony’s report said that PV’s reforms were the reason for the Congress’s defeat. Even though Manmohan was held responsible for the defeat, he did not back down. The Congress government brought an ordinance to protect Lallu. Manmohan Singh remained silent despite facing difficulties. Harish Rao said that Telangana came into being during Manmohan’s tenure.  (Maxim News)
