Smoke in CM KCR Helicopter’s Bag
Karimnagar: Social media platforms were agog with rumours on Tuesday about Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao’s safety after a television channel reported a fire scare in his helicopter.
Smoke from a bag in the helicopter being travelled by Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has sent security into jitters.
The incident took place when KCR was about to leave from a helipad in Karimnagar after attending an official programme.
Immediately, the security took away the bag and threw it at 100 metres distance.
According to sources, smoke emanated from a microphone set present in the bag due to a technical snag. However, a probe was ordered to know the exact reason.
When Industries and IT Minister K T Rama Rao’s attention was drawn by Twitterati to the social media rumours, his initial reaction was “Is it true?” The Minister followed it up with another tweet immediately stating that he had checked up with the Chief Minister’s security who informed him that Chandrashekhar Rao was fine.
