Hyderabad: A 23-year-old software employee died by suicide after jumping from the terrace of a private men’s hostel building in Madhapur on Tuesday.
According to police, the youth was identified as Yashwanth, a native of Srikakulam district in Andhra Pradesh. He was working for a software company in Gachibowli and had moved into a co-living hostel in Madhapur around 10 days ago for employment.
Madhapur Police Begin Investigation
Police said Yashwanth informed the hostel management on Tuesday that he was unwell. He later went to the terrace of the building and jumped.
He suffered severe injuries in the fall and died at the spot.
The Madhapur police have begun an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident and are trying to determine the reason behind his death.
Police are gathering information from the hostel management and others as part of the investigation.
