Speed up Palamuru RR project: Nirajan Reddy to officials

Hyderabad, Sept.29 (Maxim News): Agriculture Minister S Niranjan Reddy today expressed displeasure at the officials concerned for delay in completion of the irrigation projects like Palamuru-Ranga Reddy and some related small works. The minister held a review meeting at Wanaparthy collector office with the officials.

Niranjan Reddy said that the government of Telangana is in forefront of welfare and development he claimed. The minister sought to know as to why the works of the irrigation projects are getting delayed. Niranjan Reddy instructed the officials to use the workers of employment guarantee scheme for completing the development works.

He pulled up the officials for slow speed of irrigation projects and reservoirs. All the reservoirs and ponds get water to irrigate crops as planned without any delay, he directed. Asking the top officials to work from Collectorate, the minister said that the works should be completed without any delay. The irrigation other wings should coordinate for speedy completion of the projects and reservoirs, he said.

Speed up the works to ensure that water reaches Narlapur, Vattem, Edulapur, Karvena and other reservoirs, the minister said.

He said that the works of the ongoing projects will be reviewed from time to time to ensure quality. Our programs are coined to ensure that the farmers get welfare and increase farm production.

Niranjan Reddy cited that the schemes like Rythu Bandhu, Rythu Bhima, 24 hour power supply are ideal to other states. The agriculture minister further said that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao for spending huge funds for welfare of the farmers. The KCR government is for the poor welfare by offering double bedroom, pensions and Dalit Bandhu for SCs empowerment. (Maxim News)
