Hyderabad, Dec.10 (Maxim News): AICC Spokesperson Dr Sravan Dasoju demands Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, who will be traveling to Delhi tomorrow, to stage protest dharna in front of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s residence in Delhi, if he has really serious and sincere about the farmer issues. He further stated that yesterday’s KCR letter supporting Modi on the Central Vista project is yet another best example of the TRS and the BJP collusion. “They fight in the streets of Hyderabad but, they are friends in four walls of a room in Delhi”, Dr Sravan fired. He suspects that the Telangana Chief Minister might be meeting PM Modi to finalize a secret deal in this regard or wonder if KCR would tender apologies to PM Narendra Modi for their dharna against anti-farmer bills.
Dasoju asked the ruling TRS party to immediately enact the farmer friendly legislation in the state assembly to prove its sincerity, if it has any moral right to stand in solidarity with the agitating farmers. He suggested the pink party to follow the Punjab Government which has shown the new way to the whole country by bringing three agriculture bills negating the controversial Central Government’s anti-farmer agriculture laws. The senior congress party leader further asked KCR and the Party to stop indulging in road-side pretentious dramas in the name of supporting farmers. He accused the TRS party for an agrarian crisis that took away more than 6,000 lives of aggrieved farmers in Telangana.
While talking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan on Thursday, Sravan said that the Punjab government has timely reacted to the farmer issues and passed the revolutionary pro-farmer bills in the state assembly to counter the Central Government which denied the fundamental right to the farmers across the country through its corporate friendly policies. According to him, the Punjab Government has proceeded with 3 agriculture bills aimed at annulment of the Central Farm Laws while promulgating new formulas and revisions to them.
In addition to these three agriculture bills, the state government of Punjab has also passed another bill which ensures protection for the small and marginal farmers from attaching their lands, if their land holding is only up to 2.5 acres, he informed.
The AICC leader pointed out that the TRS party’s supremo fears about being punished by Modi, if he challenges the Centre by introducing new agriculture bills. “Rather than indulging in road-side pretentious dramas, TRS supremo, Telangana Chief Minister must call for a special assembly session and bring in exclusive State Laws to protect farmers and negate anti-farmer laws of India in the lines of Punjab Government”, he criticized.
Indian farmers are too wise and they can understand your political dramas well. Therefore, at least now you must come forward in enacting farmer friendly legislation in the state, Dr Sravan advised. (Maxim News)
