Sri Guru Nanak Festival From Nov.7 To 12
Hyderabad, Nov.6 (Maxim News): Sri Guru Nanak Dev’s 550th birthday celebrations (Prakash Utsav) will be celebrated from November 7 to 12. A holy procession was taken out on Wednesday by Prabhandak Committees of Gurudwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha, Guru Nanak Marg, Ashok Bazar, Afzalgunj and Gurudwara Saheb Secunderabad.
The holy processions will be taken out by Gurudwara Saheb Secunderabad at 4 pm on November 7 and another from Gurudwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha, Guru Nanak Marg, Ashok Bazar, Afzalgunj at 4 pm on November 9. “Vishaal Deewan” (mass congregation) will be held at the Exhibition Grounds, Nampally from 10.30 am to 4 pm on November 12.
Prabhandak Committee presidents S. Gurcharan Singh Bagga (GSGSS), S. Baldev Singh Bagga (GSS) and general secretaries S Joginder Singh Mujral (GSGSS) and S Avtar Singh Khanuja (GSS) and other committee members detailed about the Prakash Utsav celebrations. They said thousands of devotees are expected to take part in the procession and Guru Granth Sahebji (Holy scripture of the Sikhs) will be carried on a beautifully decorated vehicle along with religious flags all along the procession.
The event will be marked by recitations of Gurbani Keertans by religious preachers. Guru-Ka-Langar (free community kitchen) will be served to devotees. (Maxim News)
