Sri Ram Sagar Project Gates Lifted Up 

Nizamabad/Hyderabad, Sept 2 (Maxim News): The crust gates of the Sri Ram Sagar Project (SRSP) have been lifted to release the water downstream, given the heavy flow of water in the reservoir. The water level at the project has gone up to 90 percent of the project capacity.

SRSP Superintendent Engineer said that the water level of the project has reached to high level, hence it has been decided to lift the crust gates and release water in the Godavari river. He appealed to the people of the areas around the Godavari River to be vigilant, fishermen were asked to stop their activities, and herdsmen and farmers were asked to stop cattle breeding and entering the catchment area of the river.  (Maxim News)
