The gates of Srisailam dam have been lifted on Friday evening. The irrigation officials of both the states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana have decided to review the flood situation.
As inflows to the dam continued to increase, both the governments have focussed on this. AP Irrigation Minister Anil Kumar Yadhav and Telangana Minister Srinivas Goud and other MLAs have accompanied them.
It is likely that the AP government would divert much cusecs of water through Pothyreddypadu and much cusecs of water will be diverted through other irrigation schemes in AP. Watch the video for more insight.
