Srisailam Power House Fire: Chandrababu Naidu Expresses Shock

Amaravati, Aug.21 (Maxim News): TDP national president Nara Chandrababu Naidu today expressed his shock over the tragic fire accident at the underground power of the left canal of Srisailam irrigation project. He hoped that all the stranded workers would come out of the power house safely.

He urged the authorities concerned to speed up their rescue operations. It may be noted here that the fire accident took place at the power house located in Domalapenta village of Amrabad Mandal from Nagarkurnool district. The authorities have come to the conclusion that short circuit in the fourth unit of the project was the reason behind the fire accident. A total of 17 people were stranded inside the power house. However, 8 workers were rescued by the authorities while the remaining 9 were still stranded inside the power house. (Maxim News)
