State advocate general quits over differences with Mamata government

West Bengal Advocate-General Jayanta Mitra today resigned from his post over differences with the Mamata Banerjee government in the state.

Sources say there has been pending differences between Mitra and the government leading to the situation. “I can’t be the A-G all through my life so I thought this was the best time,” Mitra said tendering his resignaiton to Governor Kesari nath Tripathi.
