State Govt Neglecting TSRTC Crew Problem: Jeevan Reddy
Hyderabad, Oct.4 (Maxim News): Congress MLC T. Jeevan Reddy on Friday alleged that as the State government was ignoring their problems, the TSRTC employees served a notice to go on indefinite strike from October 5. He said no action was taken by the State government even after the strike notice issued by the TSRTC Employees 60 days back. He said the State government alone will be held responsible for the RTC crew strike.
The Congress leader said the State government was making alternative arrangements while claiming to hold discussions with the representatives of the employees union. He also alleged that the State government was treating the RTC drivers and conductor as laborers. He said the postponement of Secretariat construction would solve the RTC Employees problems.
Reminding that the RTC employees too played an important role in the separate Telangana State agitation, he alleged that Finance Minister T. Harish Rao, who had worked as honorary president of the TSRTC Employees union, was not opening his mouth for fear of losing his job. He asked the State government whether it had forgotten its promise of merger of the RTC with it. (Maxim News)
