The Open House will run from 12 noon to 5 pm. However, participation will require prior confirmation. The ministry has stated that specific time slots will be shared through email. Therefore, walk in participation will not be allowed due to logistical challenges. Also, to ensure wider participation, only one representative from each organisation will be permitted to attend.

Companies and associations that wish to take part must send an email to tech-steel[at]nic[dot]in to obtain a confirmed time slot. While sending the email, participants may include key details. These include the name of the company or association and whether the issue relates to SIMS, SARAL SIMS, or QCO exemption. The email may also mention the name and designation of the participant, as third party representation is not allowed. In addition, applicants may refer to any existing SIMS, SARAL SIMS, or QCO exemption application, if available.

The ministry has also advised that participants may briefly describe the issue in not more than 50 words. Details about the type of industry and product, such as auto, aerospace, telecom, or defence, may also be included. Contact details, including mobile number and email address, are expected to be shared to enable communication.

Meanwhile, the ministry has set a clear deadline. Any company or association facing steel import issues linked to SIMS, SARAL SIMS, or QCO exemption should send its request by January 30, 2026, before 6 pm. Only those who meet the deadline will receive confirmed time slots. The Open House is expected to help the ministry understand industry concerns while allowing stakeholders to raise issues in a structured manner.
