Stone-Pelting Incident On Private Bus In Chaitanyapuri

A tense situation was reported in Chaitanyapuri, Hyderabad, on Friday night after a group of men pelted stones at a private bus, damaging its windscreen. The incident occurred following a minor road accident involving the bus and a car, leading to heated arguments and vandalism.

According to the police, the private bus was traveling from Patancheru to Andhra Pradesh when it was intercepted by four individuals near Chaitanyapuri. The men accused the bus driver of hitting their car during the journey. In a fit of anger, the group started throwing stones at the vehicle, causing damage to the windshield and creating panic among the passengers and the driver.

Officials said the suspects, who are believed to have been in an inebriated condition at the time of the incident, fled the scene shortly after the attack. No injuries were reported in the incident. The bus driver later approached the Chaitanyapuri Police Station and filed a complaint describing the events and the damage caused to the vehicle.

Police promptly registered a case and have begun efforts to identify and apprehend the culprits involved in the stone-pelting. Investigators are verifying CCTV footage from the locality and nearby establishments to trace the vehicle used by the miscreants. Authorities assured that strict action will be taken once the accused are identified.

The incident briefly disrupted traffic movement in the area before the damaged bus was moved from the spot. The Chaitanyapuri police confirmed that the situation is now under control and normalcy has been restored. The case is under active investigation.
