Internet/Hyderabad, Aug 10 (Maxim News): Tensions have once again flared up in the Strait of Hormuz. Iran launched a missile attack on an oil tanker in the strait, causing a large fire on the ship. Another oil tanker nearby was also slightly damaged in the attack. This has been reported in international media.
However, it is yet to be known which country’s tankers were attacked and whether the crews were alive or not. It is noteworthy that these attacks took place while the US was holding talks with Oman on the waterways in the Strait of Hormuz. On the other hand, local media reports revealed that IRGC forces shot down a superpower MQ-9 drone circling in southern Iranian airspace.
Meanwhile, clashes between Saudi Arabia and the Houthis continue. Seven people were killed in attacks on the port targeting Saudi soldiers. The Houthis also attacked Aramco’s Jazan refinery with missiles and drones. The incident caused a massive fire at the oil refinery. As a result, the oil refinery was temporarily closed.
The details of the loss of life and property in this incident are yet to be known. Recently, Pakistan, Turkey and Saudi Arabia signed the ‘Mecca Agreement’. According to this, any attack on any one of them will be considered an attack on the other two countries and they will jointly respond.
