Hyderabad, Nov 2 (Maxim News): Chief Minister Revanth Reddy stressed the need to instill trust in Universities.

The Chief Minister held a meeting with the New Vice Chancellors of universities, Chairman of the Council of Higher Education Professor Balakrishna Reddy, and Adviser to CM Vem Narender Reddy at the Secretariat, today. He directed the Vice Chancellors and ordered to increase the respect of Universities as the trust in Universities has been decreasing for some time.
He said that the systems in the Universities were damaged. It is suggested to study what should be done to restore the systems. He said that a comprehensive study should be done on the current situation of the university and special measures should be taken. If necessary consultancies should be arranged and a report prepared. It was made clear that the posts were not given to the vice-chancellors under anyone’s influence. He reminded that Vice Chancellors are selected based on merit and social equations CM Revanth Reddy said that they should work well and bring a good name to the Congress government.

He warned that if something goes wrong, he will have to make surprising decisions. He said that the vice chancellors will be free to do good work, and there will be cooperation from the government. He said that the universities should be cleansed one hundred percent. He said that in the past, students used to remember the vice chancellors of the university for years, but now that is not the case. He said that the focus should be on the sale of drugs and ganja in the universities. CM Revanth Reddy advised the vice chancellors to observe and counsel the students. (Maxim News)
