Khammam, Oct.20 (Maxim News): One more RTC employee died of a heart attack on Sunday. A driver, Sheikh Khaja Miyan, working in the Sathupally bus depot in this district, died of a heart attack. He was reportedly worried about their future (joblessness) owing to the continued strike.
This was the third incident of a striking RTC employee meeting death since the RTC employees began strike a fortnight ago. On October 13, a driver Srinivas Reddy immolated himself and another conductor hanged himself during the strike period.
The family members of the deceased driver Khaja Miyan alleged that he died due to agony and stress caused by the Government’s adamant attitude in not resolving the issue.(Maxim News)
